PSY 3133

Sob~ I scored the 2nd test badly on one of my psychology class - Principle Behavior and Conditioning. Actually I would say the second test is a little more easier than the first one. But I guess I wasn't putting enough effort to make a good one. I know I'm not good in this class and therefore I'm sort of losing my confidence studying in this class. May be this is called learned helplessness....

...... or may be I don't know. Try not to put as much effort as possible in order to avoid receiving disappointed results. See, right now I won't get too upset because I know I didn't really study a lot for the test.

Moving up to the workforce ladder - HARD!

Hey hey, why is it so hard to look for an internship or a job that related to my major - psychology. Why am I in Oklahoma? They have any reasons to have nothing at all compared to other states in US. I found that there are so many job opportunities about Upward Bound program in Seattle, Nebraska, LA and more. Well, I only found some youth services here but it doesn't capture my attention at all by just looking at the website.

In the beginning, I thought Kat was talking about Outward Bound and therefore I was looking at the internship on their website. Outward Bound seems to be a very interesting place to work. But until now, I'm not sure what I'm really want to do because I sort of have some mentoring and teaching experience in my college years but I don't think I can be a very good mentor who has the sense of caring to really take care of the children.

Listening to Mayday Parade. Their songs are good especially - If you can't live without me.

Psychology always sound interesting to people. But I don't feel like being a counselor, therapist or a social worker who just helping people in their hard life. I may like to analyze people's behaviors, attitudes as well as their way of thinking. Honestly speaking, not trying to brat at all but I think I have the ability to read people's behaviors by just interacting with them. I can easily tell the category of people that they belong to. Well, that would somehow become my weaknesses as well. Because I'll know what kind of people they are and I may judge my friends in a mean way. BUT I don't usually do that if I don't have to. Wink*

Gosh~ I was staring at the internet for more than an hour looking for internship which related to Outward upward program in Oklahoma. My friend told me that we have to see if our campus is carrying this program so that we can actually stick our nose into it and try to find out if we can volunteer or something. Fortunately, I found that UCO is carrying this program and I was so happy with it. But when I take a closer look at the bottom of the website and guess what I saw? The website was not been updated since Nov 2008. What the.... Owhhh, come on! And then, I shifted my attention to OU, OCCC and OSU. They do have Upward Bound Program in their campus but I don't think they are hiring. They might wanna take volunteers who are working for free but I'm a UCO student. Chances of getting into their network are pretty rare.

The only reason why am I indulging myself into music recently that much is probably because I don't know what am I gonna do once I'm graduate. Well, I don't seem motivated to get involve in psychology stuffs. But when people talking about business and corporate stuffs. I may seem a little bit excited about it. Psychology sounds professional but I feel that I'll have more satisfaction when I actually working a corporate company and dealing with a challenging business world. I guess I have taken a wrong major and I won't say wasting my time but I may have to spend more time to pursue for another major that actually suit me. Studying MBA would be another option for me. But money seem to be another problem. I don't think I wanna spend my dad's money anymore.

Well, let's get a job once I graduate. But of course I wanna stay in US for a couple of years in order to earn some USD before I head back to Malaysia. But what can I work here? Okay, I'll try to get into COPE - a counseling center in OKC. At the same time, I'll try my best to apply internship in Outward Bound and see if I can get it. This internship might help me to look good on my CV. Dang it... I've still not yet fix my CV, ............ not motivated to...

Owl city is something we should listen to .... Adam's songs are relaxing and it can create a jovial mood into your soul.

What should I do?

Well, well, well~~
Should I go NYC during Thanksgiving? or should I go Washington DC in August? Actually I'll be quite certain if of going all these places if I dont have to go travel next year in summer. I might have miss going to all these places if I'm going before I graduate because I'm not sure if I'm staying in the States.

There are a plenty of options for MBA right now. Difficult to decide.

Martin Luther King Day

Today is a public holiday and I went out some errand.
Sometimes, running here and there is just making me sick.
Oh yeah, I'm kind of not feeling well right now.
Throat feels sore when I woke up in the morning.
My muscles are extremely sore as well because of badminton and Kendo training. Fortunately I wasn't serving as a waitress or else,
I can't even balance plates and bowls with my hands.
Right wrist is in pain and I heard it screaming out loud for pain.
Damned it!
In addition,
I could hardly speak and shout probably.
Nah~ I don't like it when I can't communicate with people.
Talking is one of my favorites, hobbies and skills..
Gosh~ can't believe that Jasmine is not talking at all.
I don't wanna get sick and end up seeing doctor here,
paying them a few hundred bucks for a few pills. Heck!
Guys, don't let the doc in and I wanna blow off steam~~~!

I think I'm having quiz tomorrow for my Developmental Psychology.
haiz, no mood to study... =(
Procrastination is running circle in my head,
I can't get it off!!!

No matter what,
just take it, grab it, hold on it and never let go.
.... not you FLU ###

Hardship for Spring 2009

When school starts, I'm gonna work 6 days a week which I don't know whether I am capable to handle such hardship. Somehow the works and plus school works are overwhelmingly headache. I really hope I still have time to do some of stuffs that I like to do such as going for gym, surfing the internet and facebook-ing...

Nothing much happen today. Just hangin' around with two of the new students from Taylor College. I was late for the International Student Orientation. Uncle went there but he left early, so I guess I was kinda replace him. This semester, not many international students. After that, just managed to meet a few new faces. Everything just seemed to start all over again when the first time I reached UCO. The same scene just appeared right in front of me. Memory flashed back to 4 months ago and when I was new and fresh!

To my astonishment, we are kinda repeating the same thing last semester. Uncle and I got a job on the first day of school last semester and yet, it is the same to this semester. This time, we managed to get a position in the Computer lab which I've been long waiting for it..... Thanks to Mr. Benjamin (Coming) Soon, he had tried real hard to find me a job, I knew it.. hahaha.. That's why I owe him a meal, but not Berlini, a fancy French restaurant. I dont mind if is a 99 cents daily sandwich.

Because of the crazy crowd,
because of the stupity of me,
because of the rush,
because of the SALES,
because of the United States...
hell yeahh... I'm going to Dallas tomorrow at 8.30am.

Gosh~ going to sleep now!
Day ends like this~

The first day of 2009

Happy New Year to everyone!!!

I'm just not sort of ready for year 2009. Time just passed too fast. I'm not on the pace. Woow~~~
Staying in Jeremy and Sybella's house now with Uncle Wai Kit. We are having fun at their house. Crazy us! We played cards until 5.30 in the morning after came back from Bricktown in OKC. The crowd was crazy over there.

Pity the horses on the street!
Cars, people, bikes, everything just stuck at the traffic light and not moving.
This is called "COUNTDOWN", man..
Fireworks were not as grand as what I've seen before, nahhh...
Just lousy!

Pathetic Christmas' Eve

Merry X'mas to everybody!!!

Time flies insanely. Year 2008 is finishing and people is welcoming year 2009. A few more days, there will be no more year 2008. I remember I am so used to write the wrong year when I was in elementary school. I kept on forgetting year 2000 had passed and we should write 2001 instead. Slowly, it become a unforgivable habit. A habit that cause me reluctantly to move on to a whole new year. I refuse to move on, refuse to grow up, refuse to see the future where stand right in front of me. sometimes, people like me just wanna stay back right where I am standing! Moving forward sounds scary to me. It not as fun as you think be like a grow-up. Duty and responsibility are heavily on top of your shoulders.

Bearing such a burden is killing me deeply.

How I wish I could stay young and my mind is not being corrupted. I want my pure and sincerely innocent heart and mind. Adults' world is exceedingly fun and yet it could bring you many negative consequences though.

Anyways, X'mas eve 2008 might be one of my worst X'mas eve ever since I know what the hell is Christmas. Wow! Can you imagine that I am actually staying alone in a big house without having a phone beside of me and sitting in front of my laptop, stoningly online-ing and chatting w my Malaysian friends? My first Christmas in the United States. I thought I can go somewhere else interest or having some party at a friend's house when I'm in US. Who knows I havent even eaten anything for my dinner yet and probably I think Im going to get Mc D later and that's will be my freaking X'mas eve dinner. How pathetic!

Still, just came back skiing from New Mexico and it makes me dont feel like doing anything. I just wanna sit back and relax myself physically and mentally at the same time. My skiing trip with my bunch of buddy was extremely fun and fabulous! I didnt know that I can actually ski but I cant snowboarding even after attending snowboarding school. Bruises are all over my knees after snowboarding. The fun part of the whole week wasnt the skiing, but how five of us, me, Benjamin, Chewy, Stella and Apple (from Alabama) passed thru' the whole week in our apartment at Angle Fire. We cooked our own food, took turns to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner, and also cracked out a plenty of jokes thru' out the whole trip. We all laughed like no tomorrow. It has been a long while I didnt laugh the hell out of myself since dont now when... ??? I really wanna know tho...

Besides, we took 5 Giga bites of pictures and video throughout the trip. We took pictures like playing w snow, modeling pictures inside the apartment (POSER!!!), preparing food (before & after that kind of stuffs, u know...), family portrait at the stair and on the bed, skiing lesson, driving up the whitely snow mountain (uncle benjamin's fav, GILA!), and many many more. Crazily, we've got one 36 min video on our last dinner at Angle Fire. We talked, we crapped, we laughed, we killed each other around by the tongue.... HOHOHOHO~~~~~~ What a relaxing skiing to me! It was my first skiing trip in my life and I'm glad that I enjoyed very much.

Friends are always like that! When a bunch of people get together, they tend to behave like a bowl of Caesar salad which means a mixture of happiness and sadness. Without releasing the secret, you guys must be thinking we were having a very peace and happy skiing trip. In fact, we did quarrel and showing an unhappy face to each other because of something bad happened. I would say this trip was successfully planned but not thoroughly organizably planned. Well, I dont mind that much though but it would be better if it is a little bit more nicely planned.

Firstly, we forgot about the ski date at Angle Fire Ski valley. It wasn't open until the last 2 days we were at that place. So end up we gonna look for other ski valley around Angle Fire. Thus, we drove up to certain mountain just for the opened ski valley. The road up to the mountain was scary and dangerous. Thanks god that we were all saved and we had fun, that's the most important thing of all. In addition, whether was bad, kept on snowing heavily and it caused the road was wet and slippery. I spin the car and almost dropped of the mountain when I was driving. It was the most scariest moment I ever had in my life. I was actually fetching 4 of my best buddies in the United States. If anything little happens, we used to scream and shout like no tomorrow. But at that moment when I made a spin of the car no one dare to even make a sound. The quietness kinda kill me off tho and I've tried my best to be as calm as possible to slowly carefully break the car. Then I was rather confidently cool and try my freaking best to calm everyone down inside the car (even though no one had shown their worried emotion at that time) and then slowly reversed the car and continued our journey. Phew~~~ After that, only we started to laughed and talked about it. We were discussing about that issue crazily and we all wondering how come no one was actually screaming at that moment. Everyone was just as quiet as a snail. Probably, that incident was way too scary for us to scream and shout, even to make a noise! I can't even hear their breathing and that was hecking scary!

After all, skiing is the coolest thing in the world that no one could afford to miss it! I think I'm addicted to it and I'm going to ski as soon as possible. =P

I enjoyed spending time with my friends and love you guys very much!
Life sucks w/o FRIENDS!

L.O.V.E is troublesome!

If I were Suzan, I think I'll go for Ian instead of Mike. Well, how are you gonna define you love someone but at the same time you love another person a little bit more. You cannot even figure it out by yourself. You might not know who's gonna be the best for you. What the heck is the "a little bit more" suppose to be???

In fact, it's gonna be real hard for Suzan to decide on who she loves exactly ultimately. I like the analogy of the "wedding cake" that how they put Suzan through the devastating circumstances. Hell yeah, would you like to go for an rich & elegant cake or simple but sweat cake? This will probably gonna stun many girls to think about it. Ian is a real gentlemen that Suzan might not be able find another one in her entire life. But sometimes gentlemen do get jealous easily than anybody else. This would be the sucks part. Because gentlemen like them can't really take it when they see their girls flirting around with other guys.

Well, dont get me wrong. Flirting isn't that bad after all. Even married people can flirt around if they don't cross the line. I mean, there are thousand of million of people out there in the world and chances are, you're gonna meet probably million of people throughout your entire life (depends on your networking). What's wrong with just flirt with someone else out there who you think he or she is charming and attractive and HOT! Feelings are some creeping evil stuffs that you can't possibly fully control of it. I'm not talking about sluts or playboy either, those people cross their line all the time. Making new friends and reading their story can be greatly interesting. Everyone in the world has their own GREAT story to hear about. Suzan is real lucky but she insists to have Mike. Mike is hot and handsome but he doesn't has English boy's charming! The charm of a British.

Just like Gabriella. As I said, she's gonna be amazingly perfect if she's going to act more like a grown-up. She should stop being like a child and a "bimbo" even though she is. No one like to be called by that name, neither Eddie. Gabriella is gorgeous, having a evilly sexy body, wealth (cz she is engaged to a mayor), and friendship in Wisteria Lane. This is a lucky girl as well. Why would Mayor Victor Lang can fall for Gabriella just by seeing the way she walked on the street. Anyways, Gabriella is in fact dead-drop gorgeous esp when she is dressed up. No guys could turn their head away if they are on the scene. Unfortunately, Mayor Victor Lang, a politician is not Gabriella's taste. She knows nuts about politics and she doesn't know what is suppose to do and what is not in the public. This made Victor really mad about it. In fact, Gabriella just don't seem to understand the true mask of politics. Things could go really nasty if the politicians wanna hide something from the public. Victor loves Gabriella so much but she just don't understand.

Being in love, getting into a relationship, dating with somebody, having a crush on somebody, getting married, and settling down for a family are really not easy. These are extremely complicated stuffs! From a superficial point of view, all these could bring you a blissful and happily ever after life, but somehow it can also intoxicate your life. headache~~~

Gosh~~~ I'm hungry!
..... late night again, I wanna eat!

I have lost my voice when I woke up this morning! Having sore throat is not funny even though I have used to it. >.<"""

In the reign of randomness!

Everyone hopes to have a beautiful Sunday when they wake up. I thought mine would be beautiful though but unfortunately there were a few incidents which had spoiled the whole entire day.

Well, sometimes I should somehow learn how to see things from a different angle in order to avoid unnecessary frustration. The world is wonderful because it is unique in its own way. Human beings are interesting because they are different.

I don’t really like to say ‘hate’ because it is indeed a mean word. I would say I don’t like to be with people who is paranoid and not having a sense of trust towards other people. It can just make their life so much pathetic and unhappy. They are even spreading the frustration and sadness around the world. Somehow they might be the people who are causing all the trouble.

Life isn’t that complicated!!! Listen less to Arvil Lavigne’s songs, people!

Sometimes, life is interestingly wonderful….
….. somehow, life is incredibly unpredictable.

Wonderful in a way because it is unpredictable, and thus makes it greatly challenging.

I appreciated what the ‘Big Guy’ up there had given to me and making my little world worth it to live on. Driving leisurely 3 o’clock in the morning is something really indescribable. I remember I used the word “loitering” around in the mid night but the feeling wasn’t accurately marked on. At the same time, Quando from Michael Buble was playing and the song was surrounding the 3.2L Acura. It has been a long while I have not driving on a road which has no light at all. It was thoroughly darkness! and it’s time to look up the sky for “twinkle twinkle little stars”. The sky was wide and simply beautiful fulfilling with stars.

Total silence, except “wow~~~~~~”……..!!!!!!

Random, but I like it!

For those who complained about my blog

This message is for those who complained that I never update my blog and now I'm telling you that I'm not that happy for this week. Well, it's kinda complicated though because I'm going for a concert called J-night in Stillwarter this Friday. I'm having a test on this coming Friday morning and I bet I'll go a little bit crazy if I have the chance to go crazy. Therefore, you can say that I'm kinda excited for this weekend. I hope I would not diagnose of bipolar disorder. People like me who is volatile all the time is prone to diagose of such disorder. >.<""""

What are you waiting for? Come to me and crack me some joke and cheer up my day!!!!!

Stella told me that there is gonna be a Meditation Talk on this Saturday morning. I feel like going to clear off all the shit in my mind but I can only attend if I'm not going to stay over night in Stillwater. But I guess Chewy would love to stay over night there and hang out with all her friends and left us behind again. This is our "Ah Ma"~~~~~~

******waiting to go Dr. Shin's class******

I had a bad day!

My carelessness is killing me drastically!

There was 10 thousand millions times that I had missed out numerous of opportunity just because of my damned sense of carelessness. I missed out the results, discussion, and references part for my lab report and hell yeah I got just more than average marks. It makes me feel so terrible deep inside because I scored full marks for the previous lab report. Deng it!!!!

Misery loves company. The next day, I missed my Healthy Life Skills class (well, that's kinda usual though, OOPS!) and when I called my friend to seek for information only I realized it was a huge mistake to miss that particular class. They were doing the case study in the class. ohhhhh~~~ Case study, yeah yeah, that's pretty fine but goshhh my lecturer said "Hi, Jasmine. Case study can only be done in class, you have just lost 15 pionts, =) *smile*". I bet he will give me a big smile after telling me this. C'mon! Don't ever give me that kind of smile. Suddenly, i just feel that I fall from an extremely high mountain about more than 4000 sea meter and drop on the water with tremendous PAIN!! Ouch~~~ that wasn't fun at all!

Well, basically I can just do nothing except to accept the fact that I am a freaking dumb-ass that always so forgetful. -.-""""""""""

Fall is coming. Leafs are everywhere on the floor, the grass and also the football field. It is kinda beautiful looking if you see wind blowing things from east to west. Yet, deeply Fall indicates the sadness of a person, solitude and loneliness. Things dropping down from where they suppose to belong, things got changed from colorful to dullness. Well, do you think you really enjoy the eve of fall?

TB test

The weather here is getting colder and colder. I guess we have to wear at least 2 layers piece of cloth in order to stand in the middle of the school. Or else, freeze 'til death or become Ben n' Jerry!!!

I got a TB test shot today with Uncle Yong and we gonna go back on Friday to check with the result. We gonna to for a X'ray if the result is positive. Gosh~~~ I hope mine is gonna be negative. BTW, a few more shots to go for next week I guess. Since it's free, why not??!

Thank you very much to Mr. Yong Wai Kit (stupid idiot!!!!!) for using my laptop to download songs and movies, and also recommended PBS to me. Now, my laptop is full of diseases. Can I actually bring my laptop for injection as well?? Anyway, I'll try to figure out something by myself to make sure my laptop is OK. Hmmm, I've got a little bit experiences on how to handle all this shit. I hope I can fix it.

My cute roommate sleep very early every single night. Therefore, I can only online with the freaking dim light. Dont accuse me as an night owl when I say my roommate sleep early. She usually get up around 1 in the afternoon right after I finish my classes. Dont ask me why, I have no idea why can she sleep for so many hours and still complained to me that she's tired in the day. Well, used to be an owl night when i was in Malaysia.

Yawn~~~

Everybody, good night~

Stressful + Blissful Life

Stress! Stress! Stress!

During the first week studying in UCO, I really felt that is kinda relaxing studying here. People is nice, lecturers are friendly, officers are always with a smiling face and guess what, I love the environment here especially the university's facilities. For instances, there are computer lab which has free internet-access, printing for free so that you do not have to buy your own printer (lucily I did'n bring my printer), gym & wellness center, dancing studio and swimming pool. I would say they have basically everything that I need. In a nut shell, I am HAPPY! hahaha... United States seem to be very careful of disease transferring from other countries. Each and every international student is required to get an injection on the first day they arrive at UCO. Thanks to the government's awareness, I have got 2 shots on my left hand at the same day. The worst part is I still have 5 more shots to go in October and next year. >.<""""

Well, since everything is so fantastically nice here, why am I so stressful???

I would say my life is getting more and more busy then the first and second week I got here. I have 2 tests coming up next week. There are 5 chapters for Sensation & Percepetion and 3 chapters for American History to study. Yet, I havent get my lap report and lab notebook done which the due is on friday. Apart from that, I just got elected as a Vice President for Malaysian Students Association (MSA) just now. I won't say a lot of stuffs to do but still a few activities are coming up next month. Then, I feel that the mobile phone usage system is sucks here in US. They have some sort of very complicated way of purchasing the plans and weird phone billing system. I don't understand why do we need to pay for the text messages that we receive from our friends. That's stupid! Well, I bought the plan which has 600 minutes to talk on the phone for a month without free in-coming calls. Therefore, I will get charge if someone call my phone. It has been troubling me all the way just because of the phone thing. When I finished my minutes less than a month, i went ti refill my minutes for 10 bucks. Who knows, it finished up less than a day. Damned it! So, I can only receive phone calls at night because they don't charge you at night. Gosh~~ Why is everything so troublesome???

Furthermore, I have another problem which is related to the bank that I am using now. Currently, I am using the Citizens Bank of Edmond here because the location of the bank is just right at the center of the university. I am thinking of changing another bank because others provide higher interests. I wont say I have lots of money but still I wish I could get more interests if I am in the position to decide where should I save my money. Ahhhh~~~ I just remember one thing. I haven't get a pin number yet for my debit card. It was such a embarrassing moment when I wanna try to use my debit card to make payment at the market. Then, only I realized I actually need to have a pin in order to make payment. So end up I paid by cash. I can't stand myself somehow.

Actually I dont know what happened to our internet wireless system here. You will never know when it's gonna work. It will be very fast if is working. But it will make you very frustrating if is not working like now. That's why I am blogging now in the computer lab. I would like to upload my birthday photos on facebook because I love those pictures. I have never thought of having such a birthday party in US when I was Malaysia. I have been worrying how am I gonna celebrating it since I am all along to study abroad in a strange place. Some more, I got an iPod for birthday present. Wahahaha.. (laughter is abit too evil) Actually I celebrated my birthday for 3 days on friday, saturday and sunday. (I was hecking surprised!) Me and my friends went to a Taiwan cafe for bubble teas after my work at night. Everyone was playing cards and I taught them the my co-called UNO style game. After that, we went Benjamin's house again for dinner which we cooked by ourselves. We had curry chicken and chinese ABC soup and also a kinda failed salty egg cooked by a guy from China. On Sunday, I was too tired to get my ass off from my bed. But everyone seemed to insist me to go out for dinner at Chewy's place. Well, since the cafeteria was closed I have no choice but to follow them. When I reached her place, someone asked me to grab a cake inside the fridge. That was how I got my birthday cake and iPod. Luckily I am good keeping my emotions and strong enough to control my tears of joy.

There is a chinese saying, people needs parents at home, but they need friends when they are out of the house. I am grateful that I have my friends here in UCO. I really cherish the friendship that I am having with my friends. We do almost everything together just like a family. Well, we already have family name for each of us.

I'm tired but I'm joyful!

UCO - Go Broncho!

I am studying in University of Central Oklahoma. People here is all very nice and friendly. Well, I love this picture because many of my friends say that I really look like a very hardworking university student. Hahahaha... which is not completely accurate.
